Natural resources in Tanzanian refer to forestry and beekeeping, wildlife and Fisheries. The country has vast untapped natural resources.
The terrestrial area is the grassland Savannah rich in wildlife, with equatorial rain forests, Miombo woodlands and plateau with amazing natural scenery and beauty.
The area houses archaeological sites such as the Olduvai Gorge, Kondoa Rock arts and other historical sites. The coastal strip and water support a combination of natural systems include coral reefs, estuarine, and sea grass beds and extensive mangrove stands. Private sectors are highly encouraged into the natural resources sector.
Tanzania has many tourist attractions. More than 44% of the country’s land area is covered with game reserves and national parks. There 16 national parks, 29 game reserves, 40 controlled conservation areas and marine parks.
